Kelly Clarkson's Hardest Project "I Dare You" To Drop on April 16

After three years, new music from Kelly Clarkson will be arriving. The powerful singer announced on April 2 that she will drop her latest single "I Dare You" on April 16.

Clarkson revealed on her social media accounts that so far, "I Dare You" is her favorite and the "hardest project that I've ever worked on." Fans are highly anticipating the new track based on comments on her pages. It is expected that "I Dare You" will become part of a new album, of which no details are available yet.

The American Idol winner released her last album, "Meaning of Life" in 2017. In 2019, her song "Broken & Beautiful" was part of the original motion picture soundtrack of the film "UglyDolls."

The Kelly Clarkson Show

Currently, the singer-songwriter hosts her daytime talk show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show." However, due to the lockdown, her show is temporarily on production halt. The weekday daily show features the segment "Kellyoke", where the singer renders her covers of top hits.

Last week, she belted out her rendition of "Vanishing", a Mariah Carey 1990 original song, from her bathroom while in their ranch.

Several of the most recent songs she did at "Kellyoke" are Sam Smith's "Too Good at Goodbyes" (March 25), Bryan Adams' "Heaven" (March 18), Huey Lewis & The News' "Power of Love" (March 17), Selena Gomez's "Lose You To Love Me" (March 9), among others. Previous episodes of "Kellyoke" can be viewed on YouTube.

The first episode of the talk show premiered on September 9, 2019; the show airs over NBC network.

Clarkson's other projects

Clarkson. 37, is also one of the coaches in "The Voice", which continues to air. The episodes have been pre-taped before the lockdown was imposed due to coronavirus threat.

The singer also posted an invite on April 1 for the Dreamworks' Trolls World Tour, where she is the voice of Delta Dawn, the mayor of Country Trolls. It can be watched over at home on-demand starting on April 10.

The multiple Grammy award winner was scheduled to open her Las Vegas Residency, "Kelly Clarkson: Invincible" last April 1 at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. It was announced on March 14 that due to the unexpected disruption, the production decided to postpone the opening to July. Rescheduled dates have been posted on her official website with the debut on July 29. It will run until the end of September.

Kelly Clarkson and quarantine

Clarkson and her family have been isolating themselves in their Montana ranch due to the coronavirus pandemic. She gave a virtual tour of their "Vintage Valley" Ranch through a video shared by "The Kelly Clarkson Show."

The ranch was acquired by the singer-host and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, in 2018. She said that both of them grew up in the country, and they love wide-open spaces. They have both dreamt of owning one during their childhood. With their busy lives, they head over to Vintage Valley, which they call their getaway home.

Clarkson has two children with Blackstock: River Rose, 5, and Remington Alexander, 3. She is also a stepmother to Blackstock's children from a previous marriage: Savannah and Seth.

Kelly's Career

Clarkson has three Grammy awards to her name. She won Best Pop Vocal Album twice: the first in 2006 for "Breakaway," and in 2016, for "Stronger." She bagged the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 2006 with "Since U Been Gone."
