Rising rapper Mac P Dawg was shot dead Monday night. He was 24 years old.
Shoreline Mafia and record executive Adam Grandmaison confirmed that Dawg was shot dead. Yahoo asked The Los Angeles Police Department about the crime, but they declined to comment on the incident.
"Shoreline Mafia associate @MACPDAWG was gunned down in LA tonight. Rest In Peace," according to Grandmaison's tweet. Grandmaison a.k.a. Adam22 is the founder of record label No Jump and is in partnership with Atlantic Records, with which Shoreline Mafia signed.

Shoreline Mafia posted a picture on their Instagram account, an illustration of Mac P Dawg with angel wings.
Fenix "Fenix Flexin" Rypinski, Mac P Dawg's colleague in Shoreline Mafia, shared his reaction on his Instagram account. "Speechless bro love u (you) always, macpforever," he said on his caption.
Mac P Dawg released a music video for his new single titled "Salt Shaker" in collaboration with Doley Bernays.
Last month, he released his new single and music video titled "Same Kid," featuring fellow rapper Bayline. He also released music videos with Fenix Flexin and Ohgessy last year.
Ohgessy posted a picture on his Instagram account showing him hugging the late rapper. The photo captured the hearts of Shoreline Mafia's fans showing Mac P Dawg and Ohgessy's brotherhood, according to All Hip Hop.
Mac P Dawg's life
Mac P Dawg's real name is Joshua Andrade Galvez. He was born in 1997 in Los Angeles. He indulged in music during his childhood as he grew up in East Hollywood. He entered the world of rapping in 2016 thanks to his fellow in Shoreline Mafia Fenix Flexin, who is also his friend and schoolmate. Mac P Dawg is known to have a Hispanic background.
Career
Mac P Dawg released his first single titled "Half N Half" featuring Fenix, and it became a hit in their community. Because of this, he received recognition in the rapping community and earned a place in the OTX Tour of Shoreline Mafia. He was included in the group as a core member when they formed in 2016. Shoreline Mafia released their first mixtape "ShoreLineDoThat****" in 2017. Last year, he got millions of views on his videos, including his collaboration with Ohgessy like "Let Me Know" and "Go-Getters". The group also signed with Atlanta Records and made tours.

Nipsey Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Joseph Asghedom, was shot and killed in his clothing store in Hyde Park, Los Angeles, on March 31, 2019, by 30 -year old gunman Eric Holder. He was 33 years old then. He is known for his album "Victory Lap," which met critical and commercial success. He was posthumously awarded Best Rap Performance and Best Rap/Sung Performance in the Grammys last January and BET Awards of Humanitarian Award due to his role as a community activist.
Pop Smoke or Bashar Jackson was shot and killed in his home in Hollywood Hills after an apparent home invasion on Feb.19, Wednesday at 4:30 am. Multiple men broke into his house. LAPD said that one of the men was wearing a ski mask, and two fired numerous shots to Pop Smoke and left him dead. He was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was declared dead. He was 20 years old.
