Snoop Dogg Ventures into Wine Business

Renowned rapper Snoop Dogg is now venturing into a new business. This month, 19 Crimes announces their multi-year partnership with Dogg, and they will introduce a new brand of wine named Snoop Cali Red, his first bottle of wine, to be released this summer, and Dogg is excited, Billboard reports.

Snoop Dogg describes the wine as "a Red Blend of Lodi-sourced Petite Syrah 65%, Zinfandel 30%, Merlot 5%. All American oak offers a distinct smoky component that also yields vanilla and chocolate."

19 Crimes Marketing Vice President John Wardley said Dogg is a perfect partner for the Snoop Cali Red. The brand also welcomed him to the "19 Crimes family." According to The Drinks Business, 19 Crimes was one of the first commercial wine brands to carry an augmented reality label. The brand name was inspired convicts who committed one or more of the 19 crimes and were the early settlers in Australia, which was a British penal colony back then.

Like many other artists at this time, Dogg kept is busy while in quarantine. He participates in various at-home challenges like the Kush-Up Challenge.

Snoop Dogg's Story

Snoop Dogg is a renowned rapper worldwide. He was born Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr. in Long Beach, CA, on Oct. 20, 1971. His mother gave him his nickname since he looks like Snoopy from the hit comic Peanuts.

Dogg was discovered by Dr. Dre, who came across his one track. Dr. Dre invited Snoop Dogg to collaborate, and Dogg became one of the key rappers in his album The Chronic in 1992.

He also made a partnership with online store King Ice to produce several pendants under the brand "Jungl Julz." In 2014, he invested in Reddit for an undisclosed amount, according to True Magazine. Last year, Sky News reported that he bought a stock at the fintech company Klarna Bank based in Sweden for $2.5 billion. In the same year, he also founded the Gangsta Gaming League, one of the newest E-sports leagues to date, according to a PC Gaming article.

Today, Dogg has a net worth of $157 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Snoop Dogg is only one of the many rappers who have also ventured into successful businesses. Among these artists is Andre "Dr. Dre" Young, who is behind the famous "Beats". His network amounts to $800, according to Wealthy Gorilla.

Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter is yet another entrepreneur. Jay-Z owns several bars and restaurants, a record label named Roc-A-Fella Records, and a clothing line, Rocawear.
