YNW Melly Treat COVID-19 in Jail with Tylenol and Gatorade

Despite being positive for coronavirus, detained rapper YNW Melly is still in his cell in Broward County Jail.

After he was tested positive from the virus, he requested to be released but was denied. YNW Melly's health is now improving, according to repotts, but he still bears the effects of the virus. He was given Tylenol and Gatorade to ease his fever and chills.

According to Atty. Bradford Cohen, YNW Melly's lawyer, the request for release was for the rapper to get medical care. According to court documents: "the defendant will, if permitted to be placed in the hospital setting, pay for his care, pay for officers to monitor him and be subject to 24-hour house arrest." However, one judge reportedly denied the rapper's request for outside treatment. The judge also said that YNW Melly has to request medical treatment from the Broward County's Sheriff Office if needed.

The rapper was detained and now awaiting trial for the 2018 double murder case of YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser.
