Robert Plant, Jimmy Page: Led Zeppelin Singer ‘Baffled’ & ‘Disappointed’ By Guitarist's Reunion Rumors

Things between Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page and Robert Plant appear to be getting more and more complicated, leaving many disappointed because the chances of a reunion are quickly waning day by day. And according to a new interview with Uncut from NME, the singer is feeling both "disappointed and baffled" by the guitarist's incessant attempts to feed the fire that is the rumors of a possible reunion.

Plant tells Uncut, "I feel for the guy. He knows he's got the headlines if he wants them. But I don't know what he's trying to do. So I feel slightly disappointed and baffled."

The singer has been very outspoken about his lack-of-interest in getting the band back together over the years. Sure, they reunited for that tribute to Atlantic Records back in 2007, but it looks as if that's all fans are getting.

During the interview, the musician comes forth and mentions a failed attempt at working with Page on acoustic work. "A couple of years ago, I said, 'If you've got anything acoustic, let me know. I'll give it a whirl.' It was hands across the water. He just walked away. But we couldn't do anything proper. The weight of expectation is too great."

The two have gone back and forth for the past few months, with Plant being adamant about not wanting a reunion, even going so far as to tell Page he needs to "have a rest."

In the end, a Led Zeppelin reunion isn't looking too promising. Therefore, perhaps it's best the two merely lay aside their differences, go their separate ways and continue working on their own music. Thoughts?
