Here are excerpts of their tributes: Morris Day: lead vocalist of Morris Day and The Time band, which was formed by Prince, said hearing Prince's songs was an emotional time for him. Prince was a friend to the group and seeing the "tribute to his body of work; it's emotional." He was with bandmate Jerome Benton during the interview. They will perform the band's hit song, "Jungle Love," which Prince co-wrote and produced. Sheila E.: The Grammy-winner percussionist spent much time with Prince as she built her career. Sheila E. shared that serving the music comes in more than one way - to be "able to play his music... his legacy." and to be able to "share this with the next generation," which she said is amazing. The percussion legend is quick to say the tribute is not a way to duplicate what the late singer had done "because no one can." She stressed, "There's only one Prince." Naomi Campbell: The British supermodel and philanthropist, who will be presenting on the special, is a close friend of Prince. Campbell knew the singer since she was 17, whom she met in Paris. She revealed they had "some fun all over the world." The supermodel said, "It's a celebratory night," and which she added, it is "the celebration he deserved." Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis: The production duo with five Grammys to their names will do a medley, including "Cool," one of Prince's favorite songs. Performing with the Revolution and Shiela E. was emotional for them. Lewis said it was an "awesome feeling to get us all in the building... on the same stage." HER: The 22-year old R&B Grammy winner revealed Prince is "probably one of my number one influences," which also applies to guitar playing as both artists play the instrument. HER finds his uniqueness and love for music contagious, which she tries to model after. She will perform "The Beautiful Ones" and will play with Gary Clark Jr. with "Let's Go Crazy."
