6 Songs You Didn’t Know Bruno Mars Worked On

Bruno Mars is the singer-songwriter-dancer behind the hits "Just The Way You Are," "24K Magic," "Locked Out of Heaven," and more. Born to a musical family in Honolulu, Hawaii, he later moved to Los Angeles to pursue a music career.

The all-around artist, together with his backing band "The Hooligans," has performed around the world. Bruno Mars has won eleven Grammy Awards, ten Soul Train Awards, four Guinness World Records, and three Brit Awards under his belt. However, he also worked on songs for other artists. Below are six songs you probably didn't know were also written, or co-written by Mars:

1. "Right Round" by Flo Rida (2009)

This 2009 Flo Rida hit topped the US and the UK singles chart upon its release in 2009. However, Bruno Mars does not entirely own the songwriting credits for this one. Aside from Mars and Flo Rida, the song was co-written by Dr. Luke, Kool Kojak, Philip Lawrence, Aaron Bay-Schuck, and DJ Frank E. Also, the 80s band Dead or Alive receives credit for their song "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" sampled in the chorus.

2."Can We Dance" by The Vamps (2013)

British pop band The Vamps flashily entered the music scene with "Can We Dance" in 2013. Bruno Mars, Karl Michael, Philip Lawrence, Timz Lam, and Norwegian production team Espionage worked on the track. Bruno and Espionage produced the track.

3. "F**k You" by CeeLo Green (2010)

"F**k You" was among the songs Mars wrote together with frequent collaborators Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine, and Brody Brown. Together with CeeLo Green himself, the multi-version (including explicit and clean versions) hit was appreciated by critics for the Motown sound mixed with explicit language.

4. "Never Close Our Eyes" by Adam Lambert (2012)

An electropop hit from Adam Lambert's second studio album "Trespassing," it was co-written by Bruno Mars, together with Lawrence and Levine, and music producers Dr. Luke and Cirkut. The song marked Lambert's first entry into the top 20 of the UK Chart. It peaked at No. 6 in the US Dance Club Songs chart.

5. "All I Ask" by Adele (2015)

Adele and Bruno Mars, together with Lawrence and Brody Brown, worked on the creation of the track. Adele once said in an interview that she had fun writing the hit with Mars. The two also had a bit of a disagreement over the line, "Take me by the hand while we do what lovers do." The slow power ballad became one of Adele's most successful hits. Also, Mars once made a cover of "All I Ask" in the "Live Lounge for BBC Radio 1."

6. "Get Sexy" by Sugababes (2009)

The British trio Sugababes released the single "Get Sexy" in August 2009. This track was later included in their seventh album, "Sweet 7." Bruno Mars, with Lawrence and Levine, worked with the Fairbrass brothers Fred and Richard, as well as Rob Manzoli. The track debuted right at the No. 2 spot of the UK Singles Chart, staying there for nine weeks. It also featured a sample from the Right Said Fred song "I'm Too Sexy," using the trademarked lyrics "I'm too sexy for my shirt."
