Tekashi 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj have finally released their latest collaboration, "Trollz," with a fun and colorful music video, released Friday midnight, June 12.
The music video, directed by 6ix9ine, CanonF8, and David Wept, features both rappers in a variety of colorful backgrounds and outfits. In the middle of the colorful visuals, the bars had both rappers tackle their haters head-on
"I know you don't like me; you wanna fight me./ You don't want no problems at your party, don't invite me./ I don't worry 'bout you niggas, please stop talking 'bout me./ Always talking 'bout me 'cause you looking for the clouty," Tekashi 6ix9ine raps
Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj also has a few words to say to her bashers and those who copy her style. "They get nervous when it's Nicki on the roster./ Somebody usher this nigga into a clinic./ My flow's still sick; I ain't talkin' a pandemic./ I write my own lyrics, a lot of these bitches gimmicks./ They study Nicki style, now all of them wan' mimic," the female rapper drops.
The track was initially set to be released on June 5. But with the nationwide protests for social justice and equality following George Floyd's death, Tekashi deferred as a sign of respect.
"It's not the time for a music video right now with everything going on in the world," Tekashi 6ix9ine said in a now-unavailable IG video.
Also, according to both Nicki and Tekashi, a part of the proceeds from the track, including merch sold, will go to The Bail Project. It is a nonprofit organization providing bail assistance for people awaiting trial but can not afford to pay bail.
Hot on the Heels of GOOBA and Before a US$5.3 Million Lawsuit
"Trollz" is the much-awaited follow-up to Tekashi 6ix9ine's post-prison hit "Gooba." With much hype and supposed insider information, the rapper looked forward to claiming the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100. However, when the hit came out, "Gooba" fell short, debuting at number three. It was behind its fellow new song "Stick With U," by Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber, debuting at number one. In the middle is the Doja Cat- Nicki Minaj track "Say So."
It prompted Tekashi to rail against Billboard, accusing the charting publication of manipulating the results in favor of the Grande-Bieber track. Billboard responded shortly after, explaining the charting process and answered all allegations.
On March 20, the rapper announced on his Instagram account. He announced the release of a new music video that will "break the Internet."

The release of "Trollz," however, came less than a day after Complex broke the news that his 2018 fraud and breach of contract case has resurfaced. Plaintiffs Anton Alexander and Benhur Tesfalidet are set to re-file their US$5.3 million case before the end of the month, adding defamation charges.
Allegations stem from an event that the young rapper allegedly canceled without formal notice. Tekashi 6ix9ine performed at another event on the same schedule instead. Case documents show that the rapper reportedly took $58,470 in advance payments for the no-show event.
