Lizzo describes anxiety as a near-death experience

Lizzo opened up about her experience of having anxiety; how she suffers to the extent of feeling like she's dying. As reported by Female First, the hitmaker was thankful for managing her self-diagnosed problems of anxiety and depression. Lizzo finds it helpful to speaks to a therapist.

Lizzo manage anxiety and depression

"Sometimes, I have negative thoughts and feel like I'm dying. I've learned to breathe when this happens," Lizzo said as quoted by Female First. She added that she understands the privilege of being able to practice breathing so she can manage her anxiety.

Lizzo said that she cried and talked to a therapist, so the oppressive feelings faded away. The star knows that although it works for her, it doesn't mean it works for everyone.

Lizzo told Marie Claire Australia that there are people who have a chemical imbalance, and breathing exercise alone can't make the symptoms of anxiety disappear. Some cases require medication and psychological support. She said that it is important not to keep it to oneself and to have someone to talk to regualrly.

Female First reported also that Lizzo quit Twitter because of tiresome negativity. The singer said she usually doesn't care about the negative comments of the people about her, but it was too much. She added that seeing so much negative stuff was depressing.

"There are many more good and free people in the world rather than the other way round, but it's this small group of people who control a lot of things. They control the government, the money. And they're attacking the whole time," Lizzo said.

Talking about her body image

Per Female First, the "Good as Hell" singer also said that she is not interested in talking about her body. Saying that she won't waste time talking about it.

"You can see it, you know? I sing about positive things, but I'm not going to rub, 'I love my body, look at my ass' in people's faces. I'm a big girl, and I'm aware of that," Lizzo pointed out.

The star claimed that she is still not fully embracing her influence in encouraging others to embrace their body. Lizzo said that it's hard to see her impact in the world; however, when she sees girls dancing free in videos or women like her making commercials, she gets it.

Lizzo continues twerking

Recently, Lizzo was in the news regarding being kicked out of her vacation rental during her getaway vacation with her friends in Palm Desert. However, the three-time Grammy winner showed off her moves with her friends in TikTok, according to Daily Mail. According to the report, Lizzo continued to twerk it out on Thursday last week.

According to People, the singer was mocked by the vacation homeowner when the owner saw her dancing and used her Instagram footage to say that Lizzo and her friends could hurt him and was threatening to call the police. However, Lizzo didn't let the experience ruin her vacation vibes. On Sunday, Lizzo shared a clap back via Instagram, addressing her post to the homeowner, who forced her and her friends to leave the rental house.
