Megan Thee Stallion's foot injury and Tory Lanez's possession of a concealed weapon
The "Savage" artist made the statement after it was reported that she was arrested over the weekend. On Sunday, July 12, Megan Thee Stallion was found injured inside the SUV together with Canadian rapper Tory Lanez. TMZ reports that the local authorities responded to reports of multiple gunshots being heard outside a Hollywood Hills party.
Witnesses claimed that shots were fired before an SUV was seen leaving the area. The police reportedly had a description of the vehicle, later locating it with Lanez and Stallion. An unidentified female passenger as well as the gun was later found.
Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez, and the other female passenger on Sunday were from Kylie Jenner's pool party.
In the exclusive footage obtained by TMZ, Thee Stallion was asked to exit the vehicle and go toward the police. It showed the female artist leaving a trail of blood as she slowly walks to the authorities. Law enforcement sources told the media portal that she said her food was cut on glass, which prompted authorities to take her to the hospital.
TMZ also stated: "To this point ... police have NOT connected Tory to the shots that were fired outside the party."
Tory Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, was released on the same day after a $35,000 bond. Hollywood Life reports that he is set to appear on court on October 13. According to Atty. Sharen H. Ghatan, should Lanez be convicted of the felony, he "could face a minimum of 16 months to a maximum of 3 years in jail, long with a $10,000 max fine."
She later added that "The Quarantine Radio" host has better chances if the gun was locked in his trunk or a lock-box of any type. Also, Tory Lanez having a valid license to carry will work in his favor.
