Indie singer-songwriter and recording artist, Trey Rose (4th & Laurel Publishing), is set to release his newest single, "Damn,"* in late July. Co-written by Rose (former front running contender on The Voice/Season 16 - NBC 2019), Rizzi Myers and DJ KO, who also produced the track, the jiggy original will be available via all digital and streaming outlets (Amazon, Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, Rhapsody, etc.) Friday, July 31, 2020(pre-sale/pre-save here). The new tune follows Rose's June 2020 single release, titled "Gone," and is the second release since his appearance on the reality competition show.
Catering to multiple genres, Rose lets his music speak for itself. Producing pop-infused compositions complemented by straightforward lyrics and gritty vocals that make a statement plain and simple; "Damn" is no exception. Naked guitar riffs dance with seductive lyrics that rap the tune with a snap of the finger while percussion synth beats underline the chorus to create an open space for Rose's signature wide range. Punchy lyrics juxtaposed by acoustic pop accompaniment appear as the "wingman" in support of a blunt declaration of undeniable attraction and an irrefutable, forward invitation.
Girl I wanna lay you down
Movin' real slow
With the lights down low
Hand behind your head
On the pillow
Tangled in your legs
Moonlight through the window
Tracing your back
Hands on my neck
Kissing like that got me like damn.
Yes ma'am.
"We didn't write 'Damn' with the intent to be deep or artsy; we wanted to write a song that wasn't necessarily thought-provoking, but more straight to the point," said Trey Rose. "The track has a cool vibe that translates the chemistry and the sentiment; it's just a fun, blunt 'I wanna take you home and lay you down' song. Just think...Conway Twitty!"
The Voice contestant, and Oklahoma native's success took flight during the nationally televised show as part Rose's audition and the "Vintage Battle" between Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. Recognizing the similarities between his personal musical style and that of the Maroon 5 lead singer, Rose elected Levine as his coach.
His new single ("Damn") will be available via major digital retail and streaming outlets (Amazon/Apple Music/Pandora/ Rhapsody/Spotify) on Friday, July 31, 2020. Digital retail distribution services will be provided by Smith Music Group & Smith Entertainment (Smith Entertainment Distribution).

ABOUT TREY ROSE
With his versatile vocal range and ability to connect with an audience, Trey Rose has quickly become a sought-after live performer across the United States and a "must-have" on playlists across the globe. When it comes to vocalists and artistry, there is a difference between a performer and the artist who makes a connection with his audience. Rose is the latter. Trey Rose is a force to be reckoned with; from the very first note, his soulful grit, combined with his southern rock and pop musical influences, captivates audiences young and old.
Born in Hugo, Oklahoma, Trey was drawn to music as a youngster.
"I remember hearing a Matchbox Twenty song on my way home from school and I immediately thought, 'I want to do that!'"
It wasn't the glitz and glam of performing on stage that attracted him; Trey became obsessed with the writing and the creative process, and he was motivated to move listeners with his music.
"Music is a universal language. Music can connect a room full of complete strangers within a matter of minutes. It doesn't matter what everyone has going on in their lives, where they came from, or who they are. The right song can make someone forget about all that and just escape. My goal is to bring the audience to that better place; even if just for a moment."
Trey is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on a series of tracks scheduled to rollout throughout the remainder of 2020.
