Joji And Diplo Are Stuck With A Problematic Boy Band In Their Collab "Daylight"

Joji and Diplo released a music video for their latest collaboration, "Daylight," where they are forced to work on a music video for a problematic boyband.

The duo's music video premiered last August 7, 2020. It garnered over 246,000 likes, 3,000 dislikes, and 11,900 comments as of this writing. It was directed by Munachi Osegbu and was uploaded on the 88rising Youtube channel. Joji, born George Kusunoki Miller, also featured the video on his own Youtube channel.

Check out the music video for the song "Daylight" below:

The music video is about the pair working with a director on a music video for a boy band with elderly members. The members of the boy band also happen to be full of themselves.

As expected, the set had everything that one can see in any boy band music video. The members flaunt their lavish lifestyle with luxurious meals, expensive drinks, and a private jet plane - while gorgeous ladies are seen dancing in the background. Also included are over-the-top signature dance moves and out-of-this-world fashion styles.

While Joji and Diplo were doing their job fine as a crew, they were mistreated and got into some accidents in the studio. For this reason, the pair decided to mess with the food, tried on the boy band's wardrobe, interrupted the shooting of the video, and cause other sorts of troubles in the set.

Joji's antics were causing trouble to remind long-time fans of the days when he was Filthy Frank, a personality he created on Youtube that made him extremely popular.

Diplo, born Thomas Wesley Pentz, is best known to have worked on the music production of many successful pop artists. He worked with big names such as Gwen Stefani, Madonna, Britney Spears, Chris Brown, Usher, Justin Bieber, Shakira, and Snoop Dogg.

At the end of the video, viewers see Joji lost in the middle of a desert. He is left with just a machine and a tent. Within the shady environment, he planted some seeds. This seems to imply the theme of his next song and the accompanying music video for it.

"Daylight" and many other upcoming songs from the Internet personality and Japanese singer-songwriter will be included in his forthcoming album "Nectar." The said second studio album was announced last April 16, 2020, with the single "Gimme Love" and is scheduled for release on September 25, 2020.

"Nectar" was supposedly slated for release earlier on July 10, 2020, but the album is delayed due to the pandemic.

Music fans voted for Joji and Diplo's "Daylight" as the favorite new music release for the past week.

Speaking of music releases last week, check out the music video for Machine Gun Kelly's pop-punk song "My Ex's Best Friend." Florida singer Blackbear helped out on the vocals for the song. The rapper is best known as Megan Fox's current boyfriend, and he is also known to have a diss track exchange with Eminem.

Cardi B also dropped her latest song "WAP," in collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, and the music video for the song. The music video was praised, but many were surprised with the inclusion of model Kylie Jenner.
