Camila Cabello confirms that she is in the process of writing new songs. This hints that she is making a new album.
In one of her recent Instagram posts, she sat on her couch with keyboards and guitars on the background. She mentioned she has been writing a lot of new songs, drawing inspiration from a "really pure place." In that photo of her with musical instruments, she sends everyone some love and reminds everyone to be gentle with one another.
The post had almost 2m likes, showcasing the undying support from her fans and anticipation for her next album.
Her last album Romance was released last December 6, 2019 and made its way to the Billboard 200 at the No.3 spot.
Camila Cabello is best known for her songs "Havana" featuring Young Thug and "Senorita" in collaboration with Shawn Mendes, her current boyfriend. Both of these songs reached the top spot on the Billboard charts. She also worked with Machine Gun Kelly for "Bad Things," which reached No.4 and "Never Be The Same," rising to the No.6 spot of the US charts.
She was a member of Fifth Harmony, a girl group formed on the X Factor USA. She started collaborating with Shawn Mendes and Machine Gun Kelly before going solo. She also worked with Pitbull in "Hey Ma." Her debut single "Crying in the Club" was featured in the soundtrack of "the Fate of the Furious," the eighth movie in the Fast & Furious franchise.
With regards to tours, she had to postpone her concert tour in Oslo, Norway last May 26, 2020. It was supposed to be a promotional concert for her second album Romance but was postponed due to the COVID19 pandemic.
In her YouTube channel, she released an acoustic concert video last July 15, 2020. The online concert ran for 15 minutes, has over 500,000 views, and 65,000 likes.
