Ariana Grande to go on stage with Lady Gaga to perform "Rain on Me" for this year's MTV Video Music Awards.
This glamorous duo collaboration will be the debut live TV performance of the song, which is included in Lady Gaga's most recent album "Chromatica."
The Nickelodeon darling announced on her Instagram account that she will be joining the many performers this August 18 Tuesday.
In the uploaded video, pictures of herself and with Lady Gaga appear while rainy clouds are shown in the background. Like a weather forecast, the announcement mentioned that both will be performing on the upcoming music awards.
This is not the first time that Grande performed in MTV's prestigious awards event. Additionally, the "Stuck With U" popstar has collaborated with other top female artists during the previous VMA performances.
Back in 2014, Grande made fireworks with Nicki Minaj and Jessie J to perform "Bang Bang." Grande and Minaj performed together for the second time with the song "Side to Side" in 2016.
On top of that, the "Thank U Next" singer-actress made solo performances with "Break Free" in 2014 and "God is a Woman" in 2018.
Lady Gaga was the first to break the news, but she did not mention that it was with Ariana Grande. The "Poker Face" pop singer announced on both her official Instagram and Twitter accounts that she will be performing in the upcoming MTV event.
Other artists that were confirmed to perform in this year's VMA are K-pop boyband sensation BTS, reggae singer J Balvin, Latin American boyband CNCO, singer-rapper Doja Cat, singer-actor Maluma, rapper Roddy Ricch, and R&B singer The Weeknd. It is most likely that more musicians and artists will be announced as performers as the event date gets nearer.
MTV Video Music Awards will go live from Brooklyn's Barclays Center this August 30, 8 p.m. EST.
