Korean boy band BTS is one of the most popular musicians right now. It is no wonder that everyone wants to collaborate with them. Most Korean talents try to work with them for a song or two. This is true even for foreign acts as well. BTS has had many collaborations that they are probably getting tired of getting asked about it during their interviews. Here are some of the best tracks from foreign acts who collaborated with BTS:
Charli XCX - Dream Glow
This dreamy pop song about pursuing your dreams was featured in the group's mobile game BTS World, where players get to manage the K-pop band. Charli XCX, real name Charlotte Emma Aitchison, is a British singer-songwriter who started making music since 2008 when Myspace was still a thing. She is also known for having contributed songs for other talented musicians such as Iggy Azalea, Selena Gomez, Blondie, Shawn Mendes, and Camila Cabello.
Chainsmokers - Best of Me
This EDM love song was created when Chainsmokers met BTS during the Billboard Music Awards and decide to make a track together. They are an electric duo composed of DJ's Alexander Paul and Andrew Taggart. They are considered the highest paid DJs in 2019. The Chainsmokers are known for their hit song "Closer" featuring singer-songwriter Halsey.
Halsey - Boy With Luv
Speaking of Halsey, she also collaborated with BTS with this upbeat electro-pop song about falling in love and being happy as a result. The music video for the song also holds the record for being "the most viewed YouTube video in the first 24 hours after launch." Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, her real name, released Hopeless Fountain Kingdom and it reached the top album charts in 2017. Her two other albums, Badlands in 2015 and Manic in 2020, did great by reaching the second spot in the Billboard album charts.
Lauv - Make It Right remix
The original electronic-dance track was a BTS-only song, but it was released featuring Lauv's smooth vocals. Lauv is best known for his popular track "I Like Me Better." Ed Sheeran also contributed to the writing of the track, which is why it sounds curiously familiar.
Nicki Minaj - Idol remix
Speaking of remixes of BTS songs, this EDM pop song features an alternative version where Nicki Minaj gets to have a short verse. Minaj needs to introduction with her popular hit songs "Super Bass" and "Anaconda." She was also one of the 100 most influential people in the world as listed by Time magazine.
Sia - On remix
Released recently last February 2020, this is another BTS remix to feature a foreign artist. This time, the K-pop boy group brought in Australian singer-songwriter Sia. She is not only known for popular songs "Cheap Thrills" and "Wild Ones" but is widely recognized for covering her mysterious face during her many appearances and performances.
Steve Aoki - Mic Drop
Working with American DJ Steve Aoki was considered as one of the first recognized BTS collaborations with foreign acts. This hip-hop trap song was probably one of the first songs from BTS to reach international radio stations. It went on to reach top rankings on different music charts.
