Dwayne Douglas "The Rock" Johnson reveals he and his family tested positive for Covid-19.
The former professional wrestler said that he, his wife Lauren, as well as his two daughters Jasmine and Tiana, contracted the virus even though they were cautious about their health. He added that seeing the test results was a rude awakening for him and his family.
Fortunately, the whole family was able to recover. "We're on the other end of it and no longer contagious. Thank God, we're healthy," he reassured his fans via a video uploaded on his Instagram.
The Johnson family was found infected and had been battling the coronavirus for the past two and a half weeks. The "Fast and the Furious" actor revealed that they contracted it from "very close family friends." The latter also had no idea how they got the virus.
The "Scorpion King" star stated that Covid-19 is a much more significant threat than nasty injuries, getting evicted, or being broke - all of which he has experienced before.
Additionally, he is baffled by the fact that politicians and critics have turned the situation to fit a political agenda. "It has nothing to do with politics. Wear your mask. It is a fact. And it is the right thing to do."
The Rock and family are thankful for the blessings as they know not everyone make it out in the event one gets infected with the notorious coronavirus. For this reason, he wants everyone to be safe.
Johnson is currently the highest-grossing actors of all time, thanks to his films grossing over $3.5 billion in the US and $10.5 billion worldwide. Before becoming a full-time actor, he was a beloved wrestler due to his right blend of charismatic and boastful demeanor. His first leading role was "The Scorpion King" in 2002 and it was a spin-off movie based on a character from "The Mummy" franchise starring Brendan Frasier.
