Unexpected: "That 70's Show" Removed From Netflix Library

"That 70's Show" has been removed from Netflix since September 7, 2020. The teenage sitcom starring Topher Grace, Laura Prepon, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, and many others was pulled from the streaming service.

It was revealed that Netflix did not renew the licensing deal for the series, which ran for eight seasons. That is because the streaming giant intends to focus its efforts and budget on in-house originals.

In line with that strategy, Netflix also dropped the fan-favorite "The Office," but the show will not leave the streaming service until 2021. Once the year hits, the workplace sitcom will transfer to the NBC streaming service. Another popular sitcom, "Friends," went to HBO Max earlier at the start of the year.

"That 70's Show" revolves around a geeky friendly man named Eric Forman, played by Topher Grace. He usually references movies, especially Star Wars, and he is notable for his deadpan humor.

Eric is dating "girl next door" Donna Pinciotti, played by Laura Prepon. She is a tall, intelligent, and attractive redhead. At the beginning of the series, she does not agree with Jackie, but the two eventually became friends.

Jackie Burkhat is played by Mila Kunis and is the spoiled, rich, selfish girl in the group. Her advice is usually thoughtless, but, sometimes, they turn out to be true.

She is dating Michael Kelso, played by Ashton Kutcher, who is considered the large dumb guy in the group. He usually overcomes challenges through his good looks.

Steven Hyde, portrayed by Danny Masterson, is the sarcastic and blunt guy in the group. He lives in his best friend Eric's basement, making him "That 70's Show" star's foster brother as well.

Fez, played by Wilmer Valderrama, is the foreign exchange student who is always flirting with Donna and Jackie. However, his advances usually fall short.

The teenagers are joined with Eric's parents Kitty and Red Forman, portrayed by Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith, respectively. The mother is charming towards Eric, while the father is always hard on his son.
