She then made many more movies, projects, and even ventured into music afterward. She is considered an inspiration to most of the pop artists as well as Disney stars that came after her like Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, etc. Here are some interesting facts about Hilary Duff that made her so charming, like her character Lizzie McGuire.

Hilary Erhard Duff is her complete name, and she was born last September 28, 1987, in Houston, Texas. Her father, Robert Erhard Duff, owns a chain of convenience stores while her mother, Susan Colleen (née Cobb), is an entertainment producer. She also has an elder sister named Haylie, and both were raised in the locations of their father's stores in Houston and San Antonio.
Their mother encouraged the two sisters to join acting, singing, and dancing classes. The three later moved to California to focus on show business. Not long after, the Duff sisters got into plenty of television commercials and modeling. Hilary eventually landed roles in many television films, most notably "Casper Meets Wendy" and "The Soul Collector."
Lizzie McGuire
When she landed the role of Lizzie McGuire, the Disney Channel became a huge success. On top of that, Duff was considered a teen idol that almost everyone knew. Disney promoted the character by selling relevant merchandise such as books, toys, dolls, video games, and many others.
Duff expressed interest in making music, so the production team worked on a Christmas album for her. The single "Santa Claus Lane" was released, but it only remained on the lower parts of the Billboard 200. Nevertheless, the album got a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. It was also re-released in the years that followed.
She portrayed her Disney Channel character again, but this time for the big screen in "The Lizzie McGuire Movie." Where is She Now?
Hilary Duff shifted to focus on her fashion design and eyewear collection while still making appearances in films and independent movies. There was also an attempt to revive the Lizzie McGuire series in 2019, with the protagonist going through city life as a 30-year old this time. However, production was stopped after working on only two episodes due to the PG rating that Disney Plus implemented, and this hindered some of their creative ideas.
Earlier in 2014, she played one of the characters in comedy-drama, "Younger." Now in 2020, it was recently confirmed that Duff would be the leading star in a spin-off series based on her character Kelsey Peters from the show.
