However, this could work to pop artists advantage as it presents the perfect opportunity to work on writing new material. The country is slowly recovering while entertainment productions returned last month. This means that musicians can start recording to complete their albums. Here are few albums from pop stars to look out for in the following months.
Selena Gomez - Rare
Released in January 2020, this is Selena Gomez's third studio album. "Rare" is the third time that her album reached the top of the Billboard 200 charts. Lead single was "Lose to Love You" released back in October 2019. The track went straight to the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, she released another song called "Look at Her Now" and it reached number 27 on the Hot 100. She was recently featured in a collaboration with Blackpink for the "Ice Cream" song.
Halsey - Manic
Another album that got released in January 2020 was Halsey's third studio album "Manic." It went up the Billboard 200 at the number two spot. Singles rom the album "Without Me," "Graveyard," and "You Should Be Sad."
Kesha - High Road
The fourth studio album heralds the return of the pop singer-songwriter after three years of absence. It went straight to number seven in the Billboard 200 albums chart. This is the fourth time that an album of hers got into the top ten.
Katy Perry - Smile
The pop goddess of the decade launched her sixth studio album "Smile" on August 2020. Her album made its debut at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Lead singles from the album are "Daisies" and "Smile."
Justin Bieber - Changes
"Changes" is the pop star's fifth studio album released on Valentines Day this year, 5 years after his last album "Purpose." It went straight to the number one spot on the Billboard 200 charts with singles "Yummy," "Inentions," and "Get Me."
Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia
The English pop star released her second studio album "Future Nostalgia" as well as a remix album "Club Future Nostalgia" by The Blessed Madonna. Dua Lipa's album reached the top ten spots in many countries and peaked the UK Album Chart for four weeks.
Lady Gaga - Chromatica
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the initial schedule for this sixth studio album was delayed from April 10 to May 29. It went up the top of the Billboard 200 chart on its debut. Singles from the album are "Stupid Love," "Rain on Me," "Sour Candy," and "911." "Rain on Me" was a collaboration with Ariana Grande while "Sour Candy" was with BLACKPINK.
Lana Del Ray - Chemtrails over the Country Club
This month, Lana Del Ray confirmed that her upcoming seventh album will be coming out this fall of 2020. While filming for the album's visuals, she revealed that the title of the single from the album is "Let Me Love You Like a Woman."
