DaBaby is currently under fire after going on a rant against gay people during his performance at the Rolling Loud Miami 2021 edition.
The "Rockstar" hitmaker made some comments which irked most social media users.
The Ohio native stated during his performance, "If you didn't show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that'll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up."
The 29-year-old rapper further said, "Ladies, if your p----y smell like water, put your cellphone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain't sucking d--k in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up."
However, DaBaby, whose real name is Jonathan Lundale Kirk, controversial remarks on the LGBTQ+ community ensued some chaos on Twitter.
So he immediately went on Instagram Live to clear the air on the matter.
The "BOP" hitmaker said that he wasn't going on a rant because what he said is a "call-to-action."
He explained that he's being a live performer and claimed to be "the best live performer" because he interacts with his fans.
DaBaby further said, "All the lights went up - gay or straight. You wanna know why? Cause even my gay fans don't have fuckin' AIDS, stupid ass n----s."
The American rapper, who has over 19 million followers on Instagram, kept insisting that his fans, especially his "gay fans," don't have AIDS because they take care of themselves.
He also claims that his gay fans "ain't no junkies on the street" because "they got class."
DaBaby went on to brag, "Even my gay fans got standards."
Fans React To DaBaby's Rant and Disastrous IG Live
Judging by the reactions to the clip from the event, DaBaby's Instagram Live didn't help the situation. If anything, it only seemed to have made it worse.
Fans on Twitter slammed the rapper, with one person tweeting, "I'm just really bothered by what he said. To refer to HIV and AIDS as a 'deadly disease' that kills people in 2-3 weeks is disgusting and dangerous at best."
Another social media user said that Dua Lipa, whom DaBaby collaborated with for the song "Levitating," should re-record the song with Lil Nas X instead of him.
"Because DaBaby is a homophobe," they explained.
Somebody even called DaBaby trash.
"When DaBaby decided he was gonna let the world know he's a human garbage heap, he fully committed to that s--t."
