Prior to the release of the album, the TDE rapper had a conversation with GQ where he detailed how he managed to go back to the limelight after dealing with mental health and major adjustments.

According to the artist, he began to feel that "album mode" again in January 2020. As he worked on the recent masterpiece for over a year, he aimed to make people realize that he is good at making different stuff.

He also wanted his long-time fans to know that something good happened in his life that helps him survive the day.

The magazine also asked him what he feels right now after experiencing turbulent years, to which he admitted that he feels nervous until now.

"In all honesty, I'm kind of back at my base level where I don't know what's going on, I'm just happy to be doing it. I couldn't tell you for real how I felt-I'm kind of nervous, I'm kind of happy that stuff's happening again, even beyond the pandemic, everything," he went on.

Aside from a new album, he delivered another good news about his life: Isaiah Rashad is now a father of three.
