Singer/songwriter Andrew Peterson added author to his resume about 10 years ago when he wrote On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness, the first book in the Wingfeather Saga series. The book was published by Waterbrook/Random House in 2008. The second book, North! Or Be Eaten, released in 2009 and won the prestigious 2010 Christy Award for Young Adult Fiction. The third installment, The Monster in the Hollows, released in 2011. The fourth and final book, The Warden and the Wolf King, released on July 22, 2014 through Rabbit Room Press.

The epic series has become a favorite of families around the world and has been compared to The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, and Harry Potter.

Last week, Andrew attended a book signing with illustrator Joe Sutphinat at Parnassus Books in Nashville. The store was packed with fans with an overflow spilling out onto the sidewalk for a block outside the store. Not your typical "stand in line, get your book signed and move on" event, a costume contest which had fans dressing up as their favorite characters from the series was only one of the fun surprises. Peterson read a chapter from The Warden and the Wolf King and followed it up with a Q&A session with the audience. The event wrapped up with a performance by the Dove-nominated singer/songwriter and his daughter, Skye, performed "My Love Has Gone Across the Sea," a song from The Monster in the Hollows.
