Remy Ma wastes no time getting back to the music.
The former Terror Squad femcee was released from prison on Friday (August 1) and by Saturday, the Internet was buzzing over her remix to DJ Khaled's "They Don't Love You No More."
After six years, Remy Ma hasn't missed a beat and the new track is proof.
Out the gate, Remy comes for her female emcee counterparts. In the second verse, Remy send a warning shot rapping, "Some say she nice but Reminisce nicer/I can feel the tension, please don't hype her/Tell her stay in her lane before I side swipe her/Droppin that bird shit I ain't the windshield wiper."
Check out the track below.
As previously reported, Remy Ma was sentenced to eight years in 2007 after shooting an acquaintance twice in the stomach, but was expected to be released on July 31 for good behavior.
Prior to the time of her scheduled release, the rapper had a disciplinary issue on July 21, which resulted in her prison release date getting delayed for a short period of time.
The date of Remy's disciplinary issue is the same date she spoke to Power 105's Angie Martinez. Although it has not been confirmed that that was in fact the cause of the hold up in her release, prison officials said that a "third party call" was an issue on that date.
Better late than never, right?
