VERZUZ has been up and running since the COVID-19 Pandemic started, and fans are clamoring to get rap veterans like Eminem, Kanye West, Busta Rhymes, and even the Great Hov.
While Alicia Keys is busy promoting her "Keys" album that was just released this December on Twitter's Spaces, Jay Z, sometimes called Hov, dropped a few strong statements on the live space.
The rap icon answered one of VERZUZ's long-time questions: if he would go toe-to-toe with someone on stage for a rap battle?
Jay Z confidently retorted, saying: "No one can stand on that stage with me. It's not a chance in hell that anyone can stand on that stage with me."
People immediately took to social media to express their thoughts on Hov's "proud" remarks.
Jiggy's statement certainly rung the head of some figures in the hip hop community, including Lil Jon, who weighed in on the issue.

The rapper took a swipe at Jay Z's remarks and wrote: "BUSTA WILL SMOKE [smoke emoji] JAY Z [popcorn emoji]."
Busta Rhyme's appearance on the webcast is one of the most awaited guestings of VERZUZ fans. However, rappers are intimidated to battle it out against Busta.
Rapper Fat Joe seems also in support of Lil Jon that Busta is THE one to beat.
The Terror Squad leader revealed in an interview in September that Rhymes will "out-rap, out-perform anybody that goes up in the Verzuz with him".
Joe even suggested that "nobody wanna get in there" with Busta, and that the latter might be an "honorary" as he's entitled for a check for no reason.
LA Radio Host J Cruz has also something to say to Hov.
Cruz pointed out that "Doing a VERZUZ has become a fear in many careers", especially for small-time rappers who wants to etch their name on the industry
"Even Hov knows there still a small chance the people will not choose him. Since the Nas battle he swore off the peoples vote," the host continues.
Kasseem Daoud Dean, known professionally as Swizz Beatz, is Alicia Key's husband, and also the co-founder of VERZUZ with Timothy Zachery Mosley, whose more widely known as Timbaland.
The two hiphop personalities created the webcast as a way to battle out the 'quarantine blues'.
From an Instagram Live show to a full-blown event, VERZUZ has been at the Madison Square Garden's Hulu Theatre and the Hollywood Palladium.
Fans are divided whether Hov can lead up to what he claimed, or will he be "out-rapped" by Busta?
