Nobody said it was easy saying goodbye to Coldplay.

Chris Martin, the lead vocalist of the iconic British Rock band revealed that they plan to stop making music on 2025.

During a teaser for an upcoming interview with Jo Whiley on BBC Radio 2, Chris Martin, the band's leader, announced that the group's plan is to stop releasing new music by 2025. Martin is also the band's manager.

Martin announced that the would still be doing "some collaborative things" but the band's catalog will end on 2025.

The 44-year-old vocalist mentioned that the band might be touring only instead of producing more music for their catalogue.

The band Coldplay recently released their ninth studio album Music of the Spheres, which includes collaborations with Selena Gomez, We Are King, Jacob Collier, and BTS, among other artists.

The revelation interview airs on BBC on Thursday.

Selena Gomez and Coldplay's first collaboration

Coldplay and Selena Gomez performed their collaborative track "Let Somebody Go," which was released on October 15, 2021. This was the single's first broadcast performance.

The song appears on the ninth studio album of Coldplay, Music of the Spheres, that also made its debut on primetime television.

The Late Late Show featured the music, marking the arrival of the awaited album of the band.

"Let Somebody Go" came from the writing of Martin and Gomez, marking the first writing stint that the singers orchestrated together. The song talks about 'loving someone,' featuring a plot that involves the Grammy award-winning artist trading off with the former Disney alum.

Coldplay's other collaboration

The British pop rock band is known to collaborate with big names in the industry and other known singers in the past.

One of the most notable collabs of Coldplay includes that of the popular Korean pop group, Bangtan Sonyeondan (BTS), with a track called "My Universe."

The British group released a remix of the track that features the popular member of the Korean group, known for his specialization as the lead rapper, Suga.

The concept of the remix came from the recent New York lunch date that includes Martin and the South Korean rapper recently. According to the Rolling Stones, the song came out earlier this year.

Martin and the group also came out with songs including "Something Just Like This" with The Chainsmokers, "Princess of China" with Rihanna, and more.
