Some say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but in the music industry, it doesn't always seem the case when you get heavy backlash for it.

As for Ashley Rae Wilson, more commonly known as Ashe, she has taken the heat from some of Harry Style's avid fans.

A handful of Harry Styles' fans has accused Ashe of copying the Grammy Award Winner when the rising artist posted a TikTok video of mashing up her new song "Another Man's Jeans" and Harry's "Carolina".

Some fans, were quick to react on Ashe's TikTok video claiming she "copied" Harry Styles "Carolina", when in fact, it was only a "supposed" mash-up of the two songs.

Carolina, and Another Man's Jeans, who surprisingly shared almost the same intro beat, have also excited other fans of the two singers, who are now asking for a collaboration between the two.

Ashe's response

Not more than a day after, Ashe cryptically tweeted how "some people rly [really] go for the jugular"-implying the fans who were at her neck instantly after the allegations.

Supportive tweets of other Style's fans for Ashe have poured on the initial tweet, saying they're "embarrassed" on the behavior of other fans who were quick to cast stones at the rising singer. Some even say that the accusations were "ridiculous."

Ashe broke her silence a day after the first tweet and posted a four-tweet thread to clarify the accusations.

The songstress clarified that although she "love" and was "inspired" by Styles, it wasn't really about him and his fanbase. The "Moral of The Story" hitmaker, instead, addresses how the accusations thrown at her were "unfair, unjustified" and "sexist".

Ashe continues on her tweets, saying that she is "grateful to be making music in the same era" as Harry Styles, but she is not going to "devalue" her art and image by comparing herself to a man.

Harry Styles, whose fans claimed to have been copied, hasn't said anything yet about the issue.
