After a hurdle of lawsuits thrown to him, Travis Scott faces another setback in his already controversial career.

French Luxury Fashion House "indefinitely" postpones its upcoming fashion collaboration with Rapper Travis Scott.

The Cactus Jack collaboration was pulled out as "respect for everyone affected by the tragic events at Astroworld", WWD reports.

Collaborating with many famous brands like Nike, Jordan, and Mcdonalds, Scott is in the works of the Cactus Jack capsule collection with Dior's Men's Artistic Director Kim Jones.

The Cactus Jack Collection

Named after his record label, Cactus Jack Records, the collection is inspired by the Grammy Award-winning rapper's home state of Texas and the house's Parisian origins.

Coincidentally, Texas was also the first stop of Christian Dior upon the debut of their first collection, the partnership with Scott also explored Dior's connection with the state.

The now-postponed collection also marked the first time Dior collaborated with a musician on a collection and the first time the company let its logo be altered.

The capsule collection is supposed to be launched in January for the Summer 2022 collection, but Dior and Travis Scott mutually decided to have the deal postponed.

Nike also postponed its collaboration with the rapper days after the tragic Astroworld event, while Parsons School of Design reported that its collaboration with Scott has already concluded.

Astroworld Stampede

The Astroworld festival - Travis Scott's annual music festival in Houston, Texas - took a horrific turn last Nov. 5, 2021 on its opening night.

Records say that more than 50,000 people have attended the infamous festival, in which hours before Travis Scott even performed, there were reports of suffocation already.

During the performance of Scott, festivalgoers "began to compress toward the front of the stage," Houston Fire Chief Samuel Pena reports.

The festival tolled 10 fatalities leaving 300 injured. Authorities are looking at a "series of cardiac arrests" might have taken place due to the overcrowding.

Sources say that the rapper paused "three times" during the show to ask what had happened. As soon as they were aware of what was happening, they ended the performance in the interest of public safety.

It was previously reported that the United States House of Representatives has launched a bipartisan investigation into the tragic Astroworld incident.

The investigation began with a letter to Michael Rapino, Live Nation's CEO and president, requesting information about the event's safety.
