Lil Xan said his former manager, rapper Stat Quo, was giving him the same prescription drugs that almost killed him this week.

As the story spread thru the week, Xan felt the need to explain why he outed Stat Quo in a follow-up Instagram post.

Xan has talked about how hard it has been to stay clean in the past. In 2018, he went back to drinking and went to rehab.

On Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, the "Betrayed" rapper, who is now clean, talked about his problems and said that other people were trying to keep him in a bad place.

"So glad I could finally bring this story to light," Xan posted on Instagram.

The rapper continued on his piece as he said that Stat Quo, his former manager, "was doing nothing but speeding up" his drug use by supplying him drugs that could have killed the rapper.

The 25-year old Californian rapper explained his decision to go public as he "knows in my heart" that this tragedy happens way "too often". He blames that because of overdose; the industry ends up losing "some of the greatest artists" way too young.

Xan continues to elaborate on his experience with the manager as he recounted his days on tour when his security team would have to check on him if he was still breathing. "These people must answer for their crimes," the rapper added.

Xan's Drug Addiction

Lil Xan, whose birth name Nicholas Diego Leanos, first made the allegations in his Instagram Live last Dec. 29, 2021

The rapper compared his situation to the late Lil Peep who died in 2017 from a drug overdose. Xan says that he had a similar experience happened to him when he was on tour with both Queen of Rap Nicki Minaj, and Juice WRLD, who had also died due to drug overdose at a young age.

Lil Xan was reported to be hospitalized after "overdosing" on Flamin' Hot Cheetos in 2018, which would have been precisely around the time of his peak drug addiction.

The moment Lil Xan recognized he needed treatment was also discussed in detail during a candid interview with 60 Minutes in August.

Xan was administered half a milligram of Ativan when he was 18 years old in order to relieve his "severe" anxiety. When he switched to Xanax, where he got his rap moniker, his dosage gradually increased until he took around 50 times the initial daily amount.
