January seemed to be a treat for Halsey's fans out there!
Halsey celebrated the start of the new year with the release of a deluxe edition of her critically acclaimed 2021 "If I Can not Have Love, I Want Power" album, which included two additional tracks not included on the initial release.
The Grammy-nominated 14-track album, which was co-produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails, now includes the new tracks "Nightmare Reprise" and "People Disappear Here," among others.
The original album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album and gave the singer her third No. 1 on the Billboard top album sales list.
"If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power" was released on August 27, 2021, and according to MRC Data, it debuted with a total of 70,500 copies sold in the United States in the week of September 2, 2021.
In December, the singer released a new video for the song 'Honey,' which was created by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross and is on the critically acclaimed album.
During the performance of the song, Halsey becomes covered with honey, as shown in the video. Although Dave Grohl plays drums on the song, he does not appear in the accompanying video.

The Theatrics behind 'If I Can not Have Love, I Want Power'
Asked about the ambitious concept of the album, Reznor explained that they were always looking for things that made them "feel inspired" and less cynical".
Aside from the album, the team also dropped a companion film written and starring the Grammy-nominated singer Halsey. Reznor added that the process of producing both materials was "invigorating and inspiring" as they were sure that they needed it, with "what the world has been like the last couple of years."
In an interview with NME, Halsey said that she thought that she "was writing a latter to santa" when pitching to Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. She furthered that she has "anything new to offer" to the team as the album is about "pregnancy, gender identity, body horror."
Rating it a 4 out of 5, NME said Halsey's "If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power" is an "endlessly compelling artistic statement that only Halsey could have made".
Halsey will also be receiving the Innovation Award at the BandLab NME Awards 2022, which she will be receiving at the O2 Academy Brixton in London on March 2, 2022.
