Fans had been waiting in line for Doja Cat for more than 12 hours for the free event in Indianapolis on Saturday when, at 5 p.m., a guy approached them and informed them that he had an explosive device in his backpack.

The person was detained in Indianapolis yesterday after making a bomb threat outside a concert featuring Doja Cat, who was performing as the headliner last January 8, 2022.

The pop sensation was the featured performer at a free AT&T's Playoff Playlist Live concert hosted at the city's Monument Circle venue, which also featured performances by artists such as AJR and Pink Sweat$.

In an apparent attempt to get ahead of the line, the guy reportedly told those standing around him that he had a bomb in his luggage in order to skip the line.

The unidentified man was taken into custody as the crowd was evacuated for almost 20 minutes before opening the gates, the Indianapolis Star reports.

After seizing the man's luggage, authorities failed to find any explosive devices. Coincidentally, the same man had unrelated outstanding warrants that prompted his arrest.

The concert where Doja Cat performed was part of Monday's College Football Playoff build-up to which the Georgia Bulldogs will square off against the Alabama Crimson Tide, both considered underdogs.

Despite the -9 degrees celsius temperature drop at Indianapolis, fans were persistent in queuing overnight just to be in front of the show - battling the ice and freezing rains.

Some fans have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment on the bomb threat fiasco.

This user was "livid" after the bomb joke and seeing the suspect in handcuffs ten minutes before entering the Indianapolis City Monument Circle.

Another user said she was "fearing for our lives" after getting in line since noon, only to be "trampled" at.

After a small break, Doja Cat entered to the stage donning an outfit that paid homage to the World Cup football tournament.

However, there was another incident during the show itself.

After the rapper/singer tossed a pair of drumsticks into the audience, a brawl erupted in the audience. Doja broke the fight by calling the attention of the two onstage.

The superstar, nominated for eight Grammy Awards, blazed through favorites such as Woman, Say So, You Right, and Juicy in a 90-minute set that included 16 songs and eight songs from the album "Woman".
