The album will definitely contain riff-heavy music that fans grew to love.
It is wonderful news for the Paramore family, as the band has returned to the studio to begin working on their sixth studio album, which is due out in 2018.
Proceeding 2017's After Laughter, the new album - which is still untitled and has no definite release date - is expected to have plenty of riffs, as the band wants to place greater "emphasis on the guitar".
As Hayley Williams recently revealed to Rolling Stone in an interview, the band has been channeling Paramore's previous sound when trying to think of inspiration for the upcoming release.
The band has recently relocated to a studio in California with bandmates Taylor York and Zac Farro to cut the album, following months of songwriting in Nashville.
The 'untitled' Paramore project
The album will not be a "comeback emo record," Williams says. The Paramore frontwoman revealed that they started recording only a couple of months ago.
Talks in getting SZA, possibly for a featured stint on the album, are also touched on as Hayley mentioned that she wanted to be friends with the "Drew Barrymore" hitmaker in real life.
As to how the album would sound like, Williams mentioned that the music they were first excited to do was not "exactly the kind of music" the band had made.
Alluding to their previous works, she said that their outputs had always been "all over the place," and this new album would be "not that different".
According to Hayley, they will continue on giving "more emphasis back on the guitar" and Zac is expected to "go as 'Animal' as he wants with [the] drum takes".
Hayley also revealed that she was anxious to reconnect with her bandmates after almost five years of hiatus, but it was all gone when they wrote a song that they unanimously liked.
She went on to say that they are excited about their new sonic and creative directions.
Last November, Williams hinted that she was currently developing this new Paramore album after taking a hiatus from the group to pursue their respective solo careers.
Her debut album, 'Petals For Armor,' was released in 2020, and her follow-up, 'Flowers For Vases / Descansos,' was launched in 2021.
