Ted Nugent had defended his recent statements on Joan Jett, stating that he was merely trying to be "honest" when he expressed his displeasure with her placement on a list of the world's best guitar players.
Recently, Ted expressed his displeasure with Rolling Stone magazine for placing Jett on the "100 Greatest Guitarists" list.
A video of the 73-year-old musician, who has recently gained attention for his political opinions more than his music, was posted on YouTube on December 30.
Nugent's tirade against Jett
He slammed Jett's inclusion on the list published over a decade ago and expressed his disapproval with it.
The Amboy Dukes' guitarist slammed the Rolling Stone list because of not including guitarist Derek St. Holmes, with who he has worked closely with. He described the non-inclusion as "lying", comparing Grandmaster Flash being inducted at the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.
The tirades seemed to continue when the backhanded compliments for Joan Jett's sexuality and inclusion on the list came up. Nugent said that one must be a "soulless prick" to put Jett on the list.
But despite him "loving" the lesbians as they were a "cocktail of wonderment", he still thinks Jett shouldn't be on the list as LYNYRD SKYNYRD's Rickey Medlocke and REO Speedwagon's Dave Amato weren't included.

Downplaying the comment
Nugent was asked about his Jett comments during a new video interview with David Spuria of The Real Music Observer, during which he downplayed his criticism of Jett's inclusion in the list.
Ted claims that he started off by praising Joan Jets' "genuine shitkicker, down-to-earth, all-American rock and roll credentials" and even added that he even saluted "the lesbian thing".
Not quite seeming to understand the backlash he got, he asks why his comment was seen as "hate and about knocking and belittling".
However, the controversial guitarist continued to question the "Boring" Stone list. He claims to only use Joan as an example of why other greater bassists weren't included but her.
Nugent said that while Jett "represents our American Dream", he was still skeptical about her place on Rolling Stone's list.
The right-wing conservative guitarist finally said that "there was no hate" directed to Jett as he had that already "amputated when he was still five years old.
Jett has not given any comment to Nugent's remarks, as she had been busy celebrating the 40th anniversary of one of her biggest songs thru a Graphic novel anthology.
