Frazier in the Industry

In 1954, Frazier had country star Ferlin Husky as his mentor when he was young, signing himself to Capitol Records at age 14.
His first single, "Space Command," was released that same year which charted eight times in the US country chart. This has resulted in him being inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame by 1976.
He also earned credits on hit songs of Emmylou Harris with "Beneath Still Waters," The Oak Ridge Boys' "Elvira," The Hollywood Argyles "Alley Oop," and Charlie Pride's "All I Have To Offer You Is Me." The news was also announced by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum's CEO Kyle Young as he posted a statement on their official website. "Dallas Frazier is among the greatest country songwriters of all time. He could convey infectious fun with 'Elvira,' and then write something as stunningly sad and true as 'Beneath Still Waters,'" he said.
"His songs helped Connie Smith to become a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame. He was a man of kindness, generosity and faith, who overcame a hardscrabble upbringing to offer smiling gifts to all of us. He lived a beautiful life of a beautiful mind."
May his soul rest in peace.
