Months after her breakout single "Boyz" as a solo artist is released, Jesy Nelson is back on hinting at her new music. The former Little Mix star, recently dropped new hints that link to her releasing new music in the coming future.
In her Instagram account, Jesy Nelson posted a photo of her in a recording studio, where she seemed to be working on a new project.
"La la land - Late nights, lost voice, beautiful people, incredible sessions. I've never needed this trip more in my life!" she posted.
The 30-year old singer says that she is "excited" for her fans to "hear this next part" of her journey. She describes that the current record she is working at is her "whole heart."
For her "patient" fans, Nelson reminds that her new music will be worth the wait" and that she loves her loyal fans "so bloody much."
Fans in the comment section have expressed their corresponding excitement about the upcoming new music that Jesy will release.
A fan assured the rising breakout star to "Take all the time you need; we will be here for you always, waiting to hear your beautiful voice."
This post is the latest announcement ever since the blackfishing controversy she got into when she released her Nicki Minaj collab "Boyz".

'Boyz' with Nicki Minaj
Fresh from her exit on the iconic girl group Little Mix, Jesy kick-started her solo career by collaborating with Queen of Rap Nicki Minaj.
Released on October 8, 2021, "Boyz" samples Diddy's "Bad Boy for Life". The 52-year old rapper makes a cameo as Jesy Nelson's neighbor.
The London-born songstress' debut single peaked at No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 16 in Ireland. Meanwhile, "Boyz" peaked at No. 13 on the US's Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart.
The song, however, was riddled with controversy. Nelson was accused multiple times of blackfishing; A term coined by journalist Wanna Thompson in 2018 to describe non-Black persons who pretend to be black on social media to bait traction and following.

The English singer was accused of blackfishing after her debut single "Boyz" with Nicki Minaj in October 2021.
As seen in the video, Jesy Nelson is heavily tanned, and her hair is styled with wigs and braids, a look most commonly from African-American women.
Nelson responded that it was "never" her intention to offend people of color".
The former Little Mix star states that she is only celebrating the 90s/2000 hip hop and R&B scene in her music, an era of music she claimed to have loved.
