Adele took home many honors at the BRIT Awards on Tuesday night. But it wasn't the first time she'd been recognized at the famous event.
The network's executives silenced the "Rolling In The Deep" singer during one of her on-stage statements.
The 33-year-old music sensation stole the show at the fancy awards, winning three of the four accolades she was nominated for.
The mother-of-one is returning to London after canceling her Las Vegas residency in January to attend and perform at the 2022 BRIT Awards.
Her comeback was off to a strong start when she was named "Song of the Year" for her 2021 comeback single, "Easy on Me," which topped the charts.
Per The Mirror, Adele walked to the stage after receiving her first award to sing "I Drink Wine," a song from her current album "30."
The next award, however, was mute because ITV, the broadcaster, pressed the mute button.
The London-born singer beat out Ed Sheeran and Sam Fender to win "Artist of the Year," and she headed to the stage to accept her award.
However, in her second acceptance speech of the evening, the award-winning singer gave gratitude to co-nominee Little Simz, who had just received an award for "Best New Artist" as well.
ITV swiftly stopped the megastar as she appeared to drop some expletives as soon as she voiced her opinion on the rapper.
Her speech reportedly went, "I've got too much love for you. I think you're absolutely," then the sound went off for a few seconds.
When the sound came back on, Adele continued, "Dave, Ed, Sam, I love being in your company. I genuinely love being an artist. I can't believe it's my job."
Adele BRIT Awards Speech Muted in 2012
Adele handed the award show's bosses the finger on stage after her speech was cut short 10 years ago, and her speech was muffled.
She returned to the UK in 2012 after achieving worldwide popularity and won two prizes.
A regretful James Corden cut her short when she accepted her last prize, "Mastercard British Album of the Year," so that another band's live performance could be included in the live broadcast.
Then the "Someone Like You" singer flipped her middle finger to the crowd, a gesture she stresses was meant for "the suits," meaning the bosses, "and not the fans.
However, she did apologize later on but didn't apologize to the bosses as they "offended" her.
