Kanye West had reportedly hosted a private listening session for his anticipated second studio album, "DONDA 2," in Los Angeles earlier this week.

Scheduled to be released on February 22, 2022, "DONDA 2" is an immediate follow-up for the rapper and producer's last studio album, "DONDA," released on August 2021.

As reported, Future is executive producing the "DONDA 2", while the controversial Marilyn Manson will also contribute to the much-anticipated album.

Known legally now as Ye, Kanye reportedly hosted a listening party for his upcoming album for his famous friends in the music industry.

The next Beatles?

In an Instagram post by Swedish rapper Yung Lean, the "Ginseng Strip 2002" hitmaker posted a star-studded photo with a somewhat "hopeful" caption.

The photo features Yung Lean, Ye in his famous black covered veil, now reunited Champagne Papi Drake, "Orange Soda" hitmaker Baby Keem, and controversial Astroworld rapper Travis Scott.

Aside from the four hip-hop artists on the photo, insiders revealed that the star-studded listening party's attendees include Hailey Bieber, French Montana, Offset, and Kendall Jenner.

Ye re-shared the photograph in Instagram that Yung Lean had posted, reminding fans that "DONDA 2" drops on "2 22 2022".

Last Tuesday, Yeezy also shared a poignant speech about Black History Month on his Instagram feed.

Ye is standing in the center of a hooded group on the video, delivering a passionate monologue on his origins and struggles as a Black man in modern America. The release of "DONDA 2" on February 22 this year coincides with the United States' celebration of Black History Month.

DONDA 2 on 2 22 2022

Ye announced the release date of "DONDA 2" on his Instagram near the end of January last month.

Rumors on "DONDA 2" have been around since last year, with GOOD Music former COO Steven Victor confirming that Ye has been working on "his new masterpiece."

Details on the tracklist of DONDA 2 are still up in the air. However, there were speculations on who fans would see on the "DONDA" sequel album.

News on Yeezy collaborating with rapper Scarface circulated as a muted video of the two jamming in a studio took social media December last year.

Ye was also spotted in a studio with Post Malone and Fleet Foxes last August, weeks after "DONDA" dropped to the public.

Confirmation for his collaborations will be revealed near the release date.
