It looks like Olivia Rodrigo is back in music with a new song with rising indie star Alexander 23.

Alexander 23, whose real name is Alexander Glantz, shares success with Pop Princess Olivia Rodrigo for co-producing the latter's hit song "good 4 u".

'Hate Me If It Helps'

With his new song dropping soon, Olivia co-wrote Alexander 23's brand new track, "Hate Me If It Helps." It is the first time since the release of his EP 'Oh No, Not Again!' in 2021 that the Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and producer has returned with a new single.

The bad guy on his song, Alexander 23's post-breakup song, wants him to be put into bad light just for public closure:

"You can hate me if it helps/ Make me out to be the villain/ Say you're better by yourself/ So it feels like your decision/ You can tell 'em I'm the bad guy if it helps you sleep okay/ Because all you want is closure, but there's nothing left to say/ So you can hate me if it helps/ You can hate me if it helps."

Alexander's year appears to be shaping up to be a huge one, as his yet-to-be-titled first album, which Dan Nigro will produce, is expected to be released sometime in 2022. Dan Nigro also co-produced Rodrigo's "good 4 u" with Glantz in 2021.

John Mayer's "Sob Rock" Tour, which begins on February 17 in Albany, New York, and concludes on April 29 in Chicago, Illinois, is also on Alexander 23's itinerary. He will be supporting the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter on the trek.

Meanwhile, John Mayer's first solo performance in almost two years was interrupted this week after a fan was seen unconscious in the crowd. Mayer stopped the concert shortly after ensuring that his staff gave the concertgoer appropriate medical care.

The 'New Light' singer performed at the Hollywood Palladium on Wednesday night as part of SiriusXM and Pandora's "Small Stages" series, which the radio station sponsored.

Olivia, on the other hand, is reaping her own success lately.

SOUR on Grammys, BRITS, and Billboard

With the success of her debut album "SOUR", Olivia's 2022 seemed to be a bright year ahead as she was nominated for serval award-giving bodies.

As s debut artist, Olivia just snagged seven Grammy nominations, including all four of the major awards, including Best New Artist.

She also just recently took home her first BRIT Award for "good 4 u" as Best International Song.

The Disney alum was also Billboard's youngest Woman of The Year at 19. In March, Olivia will receive the award alongside Bonnie Raitt, Doja Cat, Saweetie, and many others.
