Just recently, Megan Thee Stallion was embroiled in another issue with his former label, 1501 Entertainment. Now, it seems like Hottie will return to the headlines as someone questions her artistry.

In a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, the notoriously controversial rapper showed some love on the "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker.

Joe Budden described Cardi B as "a superstar, and you can't argue that she is not." Budden discussed the female rapper's rose to fame and how she is a super rap star.

Like she always does, the clip came by on Cardi's radar. She then responded to the podcaster's kind words and shared an old photo of them on Twitter, looking way different from where the two of them are now.

Calling Budden his "mean uncle," Cardi penned a rather sweet note to explain his relationship with Budden: "I told y'all he always believed in me...... that's why I always got love for him even when he gets me mad ... That's my mean uncle."

But, aside from the kind words she gave the one-half of the "WAP" hitmakers, Budden would not be called controversial without his unpopular takes on artists and outspoken opinions.

Can't Megan sell albums?

On the same podcast episode where controversial Joe Budden praised Cardi B, the receiving end of the usual podcaster hate was the other half of "WAP," Megan Thee Stallion.

Budden tore down Megan Thee Stallion, taking a swipe on the "Butter" collaborator on the issue of album sales.

According to Budden, "You're not a superstar if you can't sell an album," directed to Megan Thee Stallion.

"What the f*ck are we talking about right now? What stops her from being a superstar if we're taking out sales? She ain't sold sh*t. Got every brand deal in the world, but also has all the backing from different people. She's got a lot going on. That's the game today," Budden asks.

Well, if it is any consolation, Megan Thee Stallion's hits, chart history, and accolades surely speak for themselves.

Hottie bags a Platinum-certified debut with her album "Good News," Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 Hits, and even Top 40 Singles on the Official Chart Company in the UK.

Megan bagged three Grammys in 2021, including Best New Artist, Best Rap Song for "Savage" with Beyonce, and Best Rap Performance for the same feature.

The comment may be just another instance of Joe Budden's sour graping episodes and issues with women.

Still, surely, Megan Thee Stallion's current pop standing qualifies her to be a superstar.
