Camila Cabello' fans rejoice! The singer just made a grand announcement regarding her third solo album, on her 25th birthday no less.
The album, called "Familia" is dropping a little after a month from now - on April 8. The "Don't Go Yet" singer claimed the album is her "whole heart."
"2 facts: it's my birthday and this album is my whole f-king heart," Cabello wrote on Twitter and Instagram, with a photo of the album's cover art attached - an intimate snap of her in a sequined black dress with a multicolored ruffled skirt, holding a smiling young girl in her arms. "FAMILIA. Out April 8," she wrote on both her Instagram and Twitter.
Since she's a gift that keeps on giving, Camila Cabello also shared a link for fans and followers to pre-save the album on Spotify and Apple Music.
The new album's release is not that of a shocker, although the date is. As of now, it's not yet definite what songs will comprise the newest offering. She has been teasing the release of her forthcoming single,"Bam Bam" via TikTok and Instagram since her Grammy nomination. It's going to be a collaboration with Ed Sheeran, which naturally piqued the interest of the fans of them both. The single is preceded by "La Buena Vida," "Don't Go Yet" and "Oh Na Na" with Myke Towers and Tainy. While this collaboration can form part of the new album, Cabello can certainly opt not to as well, and surprise her fans with that twist.
"Bam Bam" on its own has already garnered significant attention, as fans believe that she's actually crooning to her ex boyfriend Shawn Mendes and telling him that despite their breakup, she's okay now. Included in the lyrics are these lines, "Love came around and it knocked me down but I'm back on my feet."
As soon as the song was released, fans have been abuzz on what she's hinting at. Some of the lines even go like: "Now I'm out dancing with strangers, you could be casually dating / Damn, it's all changing so fast."
Cabello earlier told Billboard News that "Familia" "means community, I guess the opposite of you on your own." She continued, "It's more you with other people land sharing in that joy and success, whatever that means. Interdependence realizing how important everybody is in your life. A lot of it is inspired by my relationships: My relationships to my family, my relationship to my friends, my relationship to my partner ... it's all about connections with other people, hence, Familia," she explained.
