After aiming at Kanye West about his "DONDA 2" album last week, Slipknot's frontman Corey Taylor is back on the headlines again now with his longstanding feud with Machine Gun Kelly.
For those who have been following Slipknot or Machine Gun Kelly for quite some time, the two's feud has been one of the most animated ones recently.
Corey Taylor, Machine Gun Kelly Feud
Starting last year, Corey Taylor subtly and indirectly insulted Machine Gun Kelly in a Cutter's Rockcast interview, referring to the latter as an artist who "failed in one genre and decided to go rock."
After the indirect swipe, MGK took a shot at Corey at Riot Fest, now aiming at Corey's habit of wearing a mask on stage.
The two continued to feud online, with Corey posting receipts of what seemed to be their email conversation about a possible MGK album collaboration but was now evidently called off.
Both threw verbal back and forths, prompting Machine Gun Kelly to be booed out in a Louder than Life festival.
MGK also cried foul on the press as reports on what happened at the festival were exaggerated compared to what transpired at the venue.
Feud no more?
Now, in a Metro UK exclusive, it looks like the Slipknot frontman will put a pin on the feud with a last one shot to MGK.
Speaking about the release of his new project "CMFB - Sides," Corey chanced upon the feud again on the interview, telling Metro that he would not give, you know who, any more free press.
"There's not a lot of diss tracks in rock - there's a handful but there's not nearly as many per capita as there are with hip hop. There are entire albums devoted to that s**t in hip hop but I don't have the time to do that many diss tracks for that many people that I see as f*****g garbage artists," he elaborated.
For Corey, it seemed like finally ending the feud is "trying to level up in your career."
In his subsequent remarks, Corey stated that his brutally honest rants frequently get him 'in trouble,' but that his statements are nothing he would not say to his closest friends at the back of them.
