After its failed release in 1986, fans are finally getting a chance to own a vinyl copy of Prince's long-shelved "Camille" record as it is being re-released, courtesy of Third Man Records.

Speaking to a cover story for Mojo Music Magazine, as reported by Ultimate Classic Rock, Jack White and Third Man Records co-founder Ben Blackwell said they obtained the rights to release Prince's album.

"Camille" features the late singer's voice which has been pitched and sped up to mimic female vocals as he's performing under his alter ego of the same name.

Speaking about the release, Blackwell said they are finally going to put it out before revealing that Prince's estate "agreed almost too easy."

Initially, the album was set to release eight new tracks in 1986, consisting of feminine vocals. Although the late legend recorded it, it will be dropped under the name Camille and not under Prince's discography.

Weeks before its scheduled release date, the album was canceled and never hit stores. Several tracks made it to the "Sign o' the Times" album.

One of the songs, "Rebirth of the Flesh," remained unreleased for decades until it was re-released to the public for the "Sign o' the Times" Super Deluxe Edition, which also included a live rehearsal version of the track.

Fans were able to listen to "Feel U Up" and "Shockadelica" as both songs were included in the B-Side of "Party Man."

Eight tracks that will be featured in the upcoming release includes "Rebirth of the Flesh," "Housequake," "Strange Relationship," "Feel U Up," "Shockadelica," "Good Love," "If I Was Your Girlfriend," and "Rockhard in a Funky Place."

At the time of this writing, the record label has not publicly revealed "Camille's" official release date.

Jack White proved his love for the late singer by bidding $49,375 in an auction. This won him one of the original 25 copies of the album that survived Prince's decision to scrap the record from its initial release ultimately.

However, he was unsuccessful as Questlove reportedly outbid him for a different copy a few years back.

Third Man had already worked with the Prince Estate in the past as they released a limited edition, seven-inch vinyl box set that included singles from "Sign O' the Times."
