What's your favorite Taylor Swift song? Phoebe Bridgers just answered one of the most difficult questions in the world without battling an eyelash and can even say why!
The "Motion Sickness" singer confessed that she's been a Swiftie since she was a "failed guitar teacher" in her teenage years on Charli XCX's "Best Song Ever" podcast. She revealed that she was forced to listen to Swift all the time, when one of her students asked that she teach them how to play Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off."
Now, she has nothing but high praises for award-winning singer. "It's high art," she said of Swift's work. "She's like the king of her craft. She's just a perfect example of someone who uses all the resources at her disposal to be completely genuine."
When asked which song in Swift's catalog was her favorite, Bridgers had an immediate response ready. Her latest No. 1 is "Betty," one of three interrelated Folklore songs about a tumultuous adolescent love triangle. She can even say why, which is not that easy for a true Swiftie who would tend to love everything the artist ever produced.
"I like when songwriters make you decide what's so sad about this person," Bridgers explained. "It's kind of not the movie version of a love story. You have a crush on someone and then you hook up with someone else because your feelings for them overwhelm you? That's so f-ing sad. I think it's genius. And then we kind of don't really know what happens at the end of it."

Speak Now's "Dear John" is also a favorite of the indie rocker, who is now 27 years old. Fans at one of her gigs thought she was going to perform the seven-minute song after they overheard her band practicing it during soundcheck. Marshall Vore, her drummer, was in reality, the one singing it. The rocker found the mistaken identity as funny, since they have very similar voices.
There's a Phoebe Bridgers tour coming up! As part of her upcoming tour, she will perform twice at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April. She will perform throughout North America until the middle of June, when she will go on a European and United Kingdom tour, which will include a stop at Glastonbury. She'll be back in August for more shows throughout the United States.
