As bands and musicians cancel their Russian and Ukrainian concerns in solidarity with Ukraine, a huge benefit concert for Ukraine will be held at the end of the month.

Huge pop superstars are leading the bill for the two-hour televised benefit concert in Birmingham's Resorts World Arena on March 29, 2022.

Ukraine Benefit Concert Features Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello, More

Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello, Snow Patrol are headlining the upcoming benefit concert for Ukraine.

The benefit concert aims to raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee's (DEC) humanitarian appeal for Ukrainians amid the Russian invasion.

Aside from the three, "Read All About It" hitmaker Emeli Sandie and Jazz-fusion singer Gregory ported will also grace the Birmingham stage on the 29th.

Per Camila: 'My heart is breaking for the people of Ukraine. As refugees from Ukraine join millions of other displaced people around the globe, we all have a responsibility."

"I will be singing to try to help every human being forced to flee their home and in solidarity with those being racially discriminated against even within this humanitarian crisis," Sande pledged.

How Important is the Ukrainian Benefit Concert?

With many artists lining up to show their support for Ukraine, one of the biggest needs is to get funds to organizations that can serve these communities directly.

Metro reported that all sponsorship and advertising revenue generated from the event's broadcast would be donated by the ITV to the DEC.

The two-hour televised broadcast is expected to rack up over £3 million.

DEC teamed up with ITV, STV, Livewire Pictures, and Global to broadcast the concert all over the United Kingdom.

Aside from that, the upcoming concert promises to feature "emotive music performances" with short films recognizing the continuing relief operations and the suffering faced by individuals affected by the violence in Ukraine.

ITV Head of Entertainment Commissioning Katie Rawcliffe highlights that music is "a very powerful tool" in showing solidarity and support.

"At ITV we are proud and privileged to be working with Livewire Pictures, Global, Marks and Spencer, and the DEC on such an important and necessary fundraising event," she continued.

More performers are yet to be disclosed as tickets go on sale on Tuesday at this website.
