This will be Britney's first new music for six years. If ever it materializes.
Claude Kelly, the songwriter behind "Womanizer," "Circus," and "If U Seek Amy," will reportedly be contacted by the 40-year-old pop icon's team to work on new songs now that she is out from under the restrictions of her conservatorship.
It's still early days and Britney isn't putting any pressure on herself to release an album straight now, but her team is putting "feelers" out about the possibilities of new songs, an insider tells The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column.
A number of people with whom Britney has previously worked have been contacted to see whether they'd be interested in doing so again, and it appears that they're all eager to get involved, the source even said.
A new album could be just the thing to help her turn a new leaf after a difficult few years. She loves making music and performing, and having some new songs out there could be just the thing to make her reclaim the years she lost.

Britney shared a flashback video of herself dancing in high heels to her 2007 song "Get Naked (I Got a Plan)" last month, calling it a "tease of what's to come" on social media. Some can say this is her own personal hint that a new song or a new album is in the works.
She captioned the clip with the following, "This is 13 seconds of me in heels before I dyed my hair purple. This is a tease of what's to come !!!! My song "Get Naked" !!! Hope you guys are having a great day !!!!! Pss No hair and make up !!! Just PLAYING around folks !!!!" (sic)
The 'Gimme More' singer has nine studio albums to her credit, but her most recent effort, "Glory,' 'was already 6 years ago in 2016.
According to an insider, Britney plans to take her career in the next decade in a very different direction in 2022.
One source revealed to Entertainment Tonight that "Britney is her own decisionmaker now" and that timing is everything for the singer.
If Britney's new music will take time to drop, fans should wait for her tell-all book.
It can be recalled that it was reported that Britney Spears has signed a $15 million book deal to just reveal everything she wants about her colorful life.
Publication insiders claimed that Spears' 40-year-old memoir, "My Life Is Toxic," will be published by Simon & Schuster in the near future.
According to an insider, the purchase is "one of the biggest of all time, after the Obamas" because numerous publishers were bidding for her book.
