Morrissey returns to centerstage after his split with former record label BMG in 2020.
Rising to prominence as the frontman of the iconic band The Smiths, Steven Patrick Morrissey, known commonly as just "Morrissey," is staging a comeback in Sin City with a recently announced Las Vegas Residency.
Morrissey's Las Vegas Residency
The 62-year old singer is about to take on the Colosseum at Caesars Palace this summer for a five-date residency.
Morrissey was initially slated to perform in Las Vegas in the Summer of 2021 but was ultimately postponed because of the uptick in cases of COVID-19 at the time.
Considered his second Las Vegas residency, The Smiths frontman joins the likes of superstars Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, and very recently, Katy Perry on reaping a fortune for their massive Sin City performances.
Titled "Viva Moz Vegas," Morrisey's Las Vegas residency details were recently announced on his Instagram account.
The Vegas residency will serve as an intimate, invigorating dive into Morrissey's expansive career from his early days to the new album, a press release states.
Not to be missed, Morrissey's Las Vegas Residency is reported to be fans' "only experience the provocative combination of Morrissey in Las Vegas.
"Viva Moz Vegas" begins on July 1 and will end on July 9 this year. Tickets will be available for sale on March 25, 2022, at 10 a.m. PT.
As per the setlist, it seemed like the British icon will be performing his greatest hits of all time. "Singing the songs that made you cry and the songs that saved your life," the tour's poster indicated.
Morrissey and The Smiths' "feud"
Morrissey, who was once voted the second-greatest living British cultural icon, rose to fame as the frontman of The Smiths.

However, behind the band's success, internal tensions and conflicts grow as the years come, eventually leading to the band split.
The feud has recently been revisited as Morrissey demanded former The Smith guitarist Johnny Marr to "politely" stop using his name as clickbait for the band because they were already estranged.
Marr then responded with a sarcastic clapback on Morrissey's demand, fanning a fire that could possibly grow with their retorts.
