Jack White made Beck's Nashville Show even more special by crashing the event and impersonating the singer.
On Monday, White took over the stage and picked up an acoustic guitar. The rocker then transformed into Beck, copying the main star of the show.
"Hello, ladies and gentlemen, I'm Beck, I'm gonna do one of my favorite Beck songs from the 1990s that I wrote," he said, as recorded in a now-viral video.
White played two songs that were not even made by Beck, singing Chumbawamba's "Tubthumping" and The Proclaimers "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)."
Beck suddenly appeared on stage and asked him what he was doing, to which White responded that he "warmed it up" for him and was tuning his guitar. He also told the rocker about retrieving nail clippers from his car for him.
Fans applauded White's performance and said that he just improved songs through his covers for only an hour and a half.
It was not the first time White appeared on Beck's set, though.
In 2014, he also suddenly popped up at his show in Rhode Island in 2014. The duo also covered each other's songs and performed as surprise guests at their gigs.
The White Stripes also teamed up with Beck in 2007 to work on B-sides for the band's single, "Conquest." Beck then served as the co-producer and vocals/piano contributor to "It's My Fault For Being Famous" and "Honey, We Can't Afford To Look This Cheap."
Jack White Also Busy With Solo Career
Although he seems to have a lot of time to crash Beck's show, White is apparently busy ahead of the release of his double-album and his upcoming world tour.
White is set to release "Fear of Dawn" on April 8 and "Entering Heaven Alive" on July 22. He both recorded the albums during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I started writing a lot of songs, and they were in all different directions: some incredibly heavy; almost some like speed metal; some sounded so gentle. I ended up with 20, 25 songs. People don't respond well to double albums these days. I wanted to put them out on the same day, but there's no way we could press all that vinyl and have them all out on the same day," he told Rolling Stone.
Meanwhile, his world tour will begin in several North American venues - Detroit, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York, among others. He will also jet to the UK for a two-night gig at the Eventim Apollo in London.
