Paul Simon will receive one of the greatest gifts in his career three days after the scheduled 2022 Grammy Awards.

After decades of blessing the music fans with his songs, Simon will be honored by the Recording Academy three days after the Grammy Awards this year.

Titled, "Homeward Bound: A Grammy Salute to the songs of Paul Simon," the event will honor Simon's songs at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.

According to Billboard, several award-winning musicians who are current or past Grammy nominees will be present in the show. The list includes Little Big Town, Trombone Shorty, Irma Thomas, Rhiannon Giddens, Billy Porter, Shaggy, Take 6, Angelique Kidjo, Little Big Town, Dave Matthews, and Brad Paisley.

Meanwhile, the subject of the event will make a special appearance and perform some of his greatest hits.

The Grammy Salute for Simon follows several related events for other musicians, like The Beatles, Prince, Bee Gees, and Whitney Houston.

Fans who want to join the event personally can acquire tickets starting March 26. The show will also be aired on CBS in 2022.

Ken Ehrlich, the former Grammys producer who will helm Homeward Bound, told Variety, "The other ones we've done, each time, wanting to do one for Paul was in the back of my mind. With the breadth of his catalog, I don't know an artist I've ever talked to that has had anything other than the utmost respect for him. 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' and 'American Tune' are two of my five most treasured songs."

Paul Simon Constantly Wowed the Crowd

Simon's event will remember the feats he has scored so far.

In 2007, the musician became the first recipient of the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Prior to that, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, received the Johnny Mercer Award, and bagged Towering Song award for his hit 2010 song, "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

He also made noises after being voted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - in 1990 with Simon $ Garfunkel and in 2001 as a solo artist.

As of press time, he already won 16 Grammy Awards, including three awards for record of the year, three awards for album of the year, and one award for song of the year.

With that, his duo won a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy in 2003.
