Aerosmith is set to return from their two-year hiatus, but it seems like they will not be complete for their Las Vegas Residency as one member won't be taking part in any of their shows; is he leaving for good?
According to Rolling Stone, drummer Joey Kramer won't return to his drum kit for their 24-show Las Vegas residency titled "Deuces Are Wild."
The band issued a statement to USA Today, saying the reason behind the musician's decision is he will give his full attention to his family "during this uncertain times."
Kramer won't be retiring from music or leaving the band for good as Aerosmith assured fans that the drummer looks "forward to his future performances."
The situation was also described as a "temporary leave of absence."
Since the iconic band announced Kramer's fate in their residency, they also assured concertgoers that they would get the full rock experience with another drummer.
The outlet noted that Jack Douglas would take his place behind the drum kit.
The band was formed in 1970, and Kramer has been a part of it ever since. However, in 2019, he decided to step down due to a shoulder injury.
He was willing to participate in their Grammy Week MusiCares tribute show, but his bandmates didn't allow him.
At the time, the group issued a statement, saying Kramer was important to them, but he was not emotionally and physically ready to perform.
