Daddy Yankee 'Legendaddy' Streams Catapulted Ahead Upcoming World Tour

A week after his announcement of retirement took over the internet, Daddy Yankee's newest release catapulted him back to the streaming lists.

Leaving the music industry with a big bang, Daddy Yankee's "Legendaddy" generated more than 175 million streams and counting a few days since its release.

Daddy Yankee's 'Legendaddy' Is His Farewell Album

Hailed as the "King of Reggaeton," Daddy Yankee's highly-anticipated farewell album dominated Spotify charts.

"Legendaddy" debuted at the No. 1 on Spotify's Global Top Albums, following Machine Gun Kelly's "mainstream sellout," NIGO's "I Know NIGO!," Denzel Curry's "Melt My Eyez See Your Future," and Keshi's "GABRIEL."

The album also debuted No. 2 on Spotify's US Top Albums, trailing behind Machine Gun Kelly at the top.

The 45-year old singer set a new record as he had the most successful streaming day of his career on Spotify, garnering a whopping 35.7 million streams, nearly double his previous career-high.

Per Udiscovermusic, the album has also debuted at No. 1 in 19 countries worldwide at Apple Music's All Genre list. These include countries such as Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Spain, Mexico, and other countries globally where the album has debuted atop the charts.

More so, five of the album's music videos have risen to the top of the YouTube charts, placing it in the top ten. With this album, he has surpassed all of his previous personal bests.

Daddy Yankee's final album also brought forth his last tour that will happen in the third quarter of the year.

Daddy Yankee's 'Legendaddy' Tour Schedule

"Legendaddy," which is Daddy Yankee's first album in a decade, comes with his farewell world tour. His 43-date tour, titled "La última Vuelta World Tour," spans from the United States, Canada, to Latin America.

The tour kicks off at Portland, Oregon's Moda Center on Aug. 10, 2022, and will cap off at Mexico City's Arena Ciudad de Mexico on Dec. 2, 2022.

Cardenas Marketing Network, Raphy Pina, and MR Sold Out will promote Daddy Yankee's "La última Vuelta World Tour," which is believed to be the singer's biggest headline show on the two continents to date.
