The Little Mix hiatus was confirmed in August 2021 by Jesy Nelson, who appeared to reveal her awareness of it in an interview. Did she think the band will disband? Apparently not, because she also said she anticipates a comeback from the Little Mix - at least the remaining members, without her.
Jesy Nelson Predicted Hiatus
After Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock gave birth to their children, the 30-year-old Bad Boyz singer predicted that her former colleagues would take a sabbatical.
Jade Thirlwall and her sisters Perrie and Leigh-Anne were recently questioned if they'd continue to perform as a trio following the births of their children.
While Perrie and Leigh-Anne are taking care of their children, Jesy prophesied that her former bandmates would break up as a result.
Her prediction that they will reconnect and start making music again, however, remains to be seen.
In the singer's opinion, the couple will first take care of their newborns, then go their separate ways for a period before reuniting.
When Jesy was still a member of Little Mix, Jade recently disclosed that the band had been talking about going on hiatus in 2020.
Before Confetti was released and the group was still a four-piece, Jade claimed that Little Mix began contemplating a hiatus in the first half of 2020.
Finally, the three members announced in December that they would be taking a break from the music industry after 10 years of success.
After their postponed tour, which is set to begin later this month, the brilliant trio stated that they will be taking a well-earned rest.
The girls announced in a statement: "We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix.
They added, "We are not splitting up - Little Mix are here to stay. We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future."
Jade Thirlwall Ready for Solo Career
Meanwhile, it seems Jade Thirlwall's solo career is set to fly off very, very soon.
Little Mix founding member Jade Thirlwall has signed a solo worldwide record deal with Sony Music's RCA.
The solo career of the musician will be furthered by a collaborative effort between RCA's UK and US departments.
Thirlwall has informed MBW that a debut solo album is in the works, but has not provided any other information or a specific release date.
However, Thirlwall has inked a global management deal with Full Stop Management.
Full Stop, based in Los Angeles, represents artists such as Harry Styles, Lizzo, the Eagles, Saweetie, and Mark Ronson, as well as a host of others.
